EMBERKEEP is an expansive, dark-fantasy action roguelike designed for endless replayability. Trapped within an ever-shifting, deterministic labyrinth of over 500 procedurally generated floors, you play as a lone knight forced to fight through halls of relentless monsters, uncover hidden treasures, and descend into the deep abyss.

Every run offers a fresh, dangerous layout where the dungeon literally builds itself around you. As you delve deeper, the environment evolves from dark corridors into distinct, hazardous chambers—including haunted crypts, ancient armories, fiery forges, royal thrones, and arcane libraries. Each room type alters the battlefield, giving enemies unique advantage buffs like increased speed, undead resistance, or raw strength that force you to adapt your strategy on the fly.

Core Gameplay & Features

• An Ever-Growing Arsenal: Master up to 20 distinct weapons with unique mechanics. Slash through hordes with traditional Iron Longswords and Battle Axes, strike from afar with Hunter Bows and Crossbows, or manipulate the elements using explosive Fire Staffs, freezing Ice Wands, Lightning Rods, and holy magic.
• Permanent Meta-Progression: Death in the keep is frequent, but it isn't the end. All gold and total XP collected during your runs are permanently saved to your browser. Use your banked gold in the Arsenal between runs to permanently upgrade your hero’s attack power, unlock new weapons, and boost your long-term XP gain.
• Dynamic Combat & Hero Scaling: In addition to meta-upgrades, level up your hero mid-run by collecting XP and opening treasure chests. Gain maximum health boosts, dodge incoming strikes with a short-range dash, and unleash powerful Arcane Burst magic when you're overwhelmed by enemies.
• Varied Enemy Roster: Battle through a gauntlet of increasingly intelligent, scaling foes—from swift Goblins and heavily armored Orcs to Skeleton Archers, Dark Knights, Trolls, Witches, and massive Goblin Chieftains. Enemies utilize flow-field pathfinding to navigate rooms, coordinate attacks, and flank you through corridors.
• Customization & Controls: Personalize your knight's armor and cape styles in the Hero Forge, adjust visual effects, dark dungeon brightness, and screen shake to tailor the experience to your liking. Designed with precise WASD movement, mouse aiming, and quick-slot weapon cycling.
